SMARTSAT Awarded Contract from Australian Department of Defence to Establish Radio Certification and Training Facilities
Aug. 2024 | SmartSAT Inc. has been awarded a contract by the Commonwealth of Australia to deliver UHF satellite simulators to its test facility in Camberra. The contract includes on-site support for the Australian Navy as it builds a state-of-the art test and certification facility in support of its ongoing UHF tactical communications mission. |

SmartSAT Wins Follow-On Contract for Joint Tactical Terminal Exciter Power Amplifiers
July 2019 | SmartSAT Inc. has received a follow-on contract from DRS Defense Solutions in Beavercreek, Ohio, to build 81 Exciter Power Amplifiers (EPAs) for the Joint Tactical Terminal - Integrated Broadcast Service (JTT-IBS). This latest award brings the total number of amplifiers built by SmartSAT and delivered under the JTT-IBS program to more than 450. SmartSAT's EPA is one of two radio components that comprise the JTT-IBS communications system. When paired with the IBX radio, manufactured by DRS Defense Systems, the JTT-IBS system provides both receive and transmit capabilities, allowing the dissemination of critical Command, Control, Communication, Computer and Intelligence (C4I) systems information across the battlefield. |
