SmartSAT Wins Follow-On Contract for Joint Tactical Terminal Exciter Power Amplifiers
July 2019 | SmartSAT Inc. has received a follow-on contract from DRS Defense Solutions in Beavercreek, Ohio, to build 81 Exciter Power Amplifiers (EPAs) for the Joint Tactical Terminal - Integrated Broadcast Service (JTT-IBS). This latest award brings the total number of amplifiers built by SmartSAT and delivered under the JTT-IBS program to more than 450. SmartSAT's EPA is one of two radio components that comprise the JTT-IBS communications system. When paired with the IBX radio, manufactured by DRS Defense Systems, the JTT-IBS system provides both receive and transmit capabilities, allowing the dissemination of critical Command, Control, Communication, Computer and Intelligence (C4I) systems information across the battlefield. |
SmartSAT Wins Test Equipment Contract Down Under
May 5, 2014 | SmartSAT Inc. has been awarded a contract by the Commonwealth of Australia to deliver bench-top and briefcase satellite simulators to its test facility in Perth. The contract includes on-site training in Perth and three years of extended maintenance and calibration. The Australian Embassy in Washington, D.C., facilitated the procurement. |
SmartSAT Awarded U.S. Navy Simulator Contract
August 13, 2013 | SmartSAT Inc. has been awarded a contract by the Department of the Navy to deliver SATCOM controller and simulation equipment to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) in Lakehurst, New Jersey. SmartSAT's controller/simulator accurately emulates Integrated Waveform (IW) and Demand Access Multiple Access (DAMA) channels, allowing the Navy to reliably test and verify communications systems. In addition to the NAWC-AD installation, SmartSAT's IW/CIB/DAMA test systems are currently in use at the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) in San Diego, CA, the Air Force's 645th Material Squadron in Greenville, TX, and the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) in Ft. Huachuca, AZ. |
